EV SUBMETERING PILOT PROGRAM
Kitu is a MDMA (Meter Data Management Agent) for the California Public Utilities Commission's (CPUC's) Electric Vehicle Submetering Program. The CPUC has directed Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), and Southern California Edison (SCE) to implement a pilot program by which customers may measure their EV charge separately from electric usage.
Qualified participants accepted into the pilot by their utility company, may receive a discounted EV-only electricity rate for 12 months (scroll to the estimator below to estimate savings). Acceptance into the pilot program is determined by the utilities and not by the approved agents nor suppliers.
To participate, customers need to sign up, install a charging station, and be approved by their utility.

SUBMETER PROGRAM SAVINGS ESTIMATOR
The savings estimator is not a representation, commitment, nor guarantee of savings
Customer savings, if any, vary per customer, electric vehicle, electric charging usage, mileage driven, driving style, service utility, current electric rate, potential new rate, and other factors
Kitu Systems is not responsible in any way, directly or indirectly, for customer's electric rate, electric usage, savings, increases, or any other charges, savings, or changes related to his/her electric usage, rate, charges, etc.
If an applicant is accepted into the program by their utility, the utility would bill a maximum of 12 billing cycles of EV charging usage at a lower rate. Therefore, any estimated savings calculated would be realized over that period
Estimator assumes 100% home charging and refers to electric miles for hybrid EV mileage
