The two properties are company-owned, multi-unit buildings operating as short-term rentals on Vrbo. Each site features four Wallbox Pulsar Pro Level 2 stations, for a combined total of eight charging ports designed to serve guests throughout their stay.
As a short-term rental operator, the property owner needed a solution built around a rotating base of guests rather than a fixed set of residents. Kitu worked directly with the owner to analyze driver behavior and align it with the guest experience they wanted to offer, then used Expedition's flexible access and billing options to configure a platform suited to a vacation-stay environment.
The move reflects a broader shift in traveler expectations across the short-term rental space. Industry data points to rising demand: according to Airbnb, listings offering EV chargers are booked for more nights and generate more income on average than those without, and searches using its EV charger filter grew more than 80% from 2022 to 2023.
